Measuring plant structures to evaluate seed vigor and germination is a well-established method. It eliminates the need for expert analysis, as required by the tetrazolium test, and provides results much faster than the accelerated aging method.
GroundEye was designed to analyze hundreds of seed batches daily, each taking only 1 minute to evaluate. This removes subjectivity and speeds up the evaluation process.
The GroundEye L Line was created specifically for this purpose. Seedlings are placed on a continuously moving belt, allowing smooth and scalable video capture. There’s no limit to the number of batches or seedlings per sample.
Following registration, each seedling undergoes a detailed analysis, measuring dozens of features such as the hypocotyl, primary root, and secondary roots. This data is automatically plotted and can be used to calculate the batch germination rate, tailored to your company’s specific standards.
Seed lot vigor is evaluated digitally and automatically using an artificial intelligence trained on images of seedling batches provided by the equipment itself. This ensures that analysis patterns are customized to your specific requirements, avoiding variations due to different cultivation or germination conditions.
Results are made available immediately upon completion of each analysis and can be exported in Excel format or as reports, according to your operational preference.
